Research Interests
Modern clinical translational research involves comprehensive cross–specialism collaboration. Thus my research group has extensive links with neurology, neurochemistry, neuroradiology and neurointensive care within Queen Square, as well as other neurosciences centres.
Current research programmes explore various features of Neurovascular disease, specifically:
Haemostatic mechanisms following SAH
Genetic markers of cerebral aneurysms and AVMS
Microdialysis in vascular and traumatic brain injury
The psychosocial effects on recovery from SAH
I currently have 5 students who I supervise for higher degree
Since 1996, I have received more than £850, 000 in grant support
136 peer reviewed papers published
25 Book Chapters
4 Clinical Neuroscience Text Books published
