Advanced Telecommunications Skills Training for Cancer CNSs and Chemo Nurses

In partnership with FrontLine Communications the Advanced Telecommunications Skills Training course aims to enhance and improve healthcare professionals’ communication skills in having sensitive conversations over remote consultations.

With a blend of emotional intelligence training, combined with communication skills theory and online practice.

Telephone and phone consultations are being introduced alongside face-to-face consultations. This new medium come with its own set of challenges.

This is a blended learning course for CNS’s wanting to advance their communication skills in remote consultations.

The course includes:

• 2.5 hours of e-learning theory (can be finished at own pace over 4 weeks)

• 1-day (6 hour) online workshop putting theory into practice

Non-UCLH applications: As staff from other trusts are unable to provide an internal budget code a refundable security deposit of £50 must be paid to reserve a place on the course (refunds are initiated the day after the course).

Cancellation Policy

• A £50 security deposit is payable at the point of booking
•  £100 administration fee will apply for non-attendance or cancellation within 15 working days of the course
• This fee will be waived if a suitable substitute is nominated to attend on the specified date
• Fees will be taken from the security deposit
• Applications submitted without the security deposit will not be accepted
