5th Preparation for FRCS (Tr&Orth;) Course (RCS Accredited)

You are invited to attend the 5th Preparation for FRCS (Tr&Orth) Course. The emphasis of the course is on technique and aims to provide a framework early in a trainee's preparation for understanding the nature of the FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam, develop strategies for optimising revision and for maximising scoring in the Viva and Clinical Examinations. In addition it offers a chance to network with fellow candidates taking the Examination. We have had very positive feedback from previous years.

The strong teaching Faculty consists of FRCS Examiners and Consultants from a number of regions. The course is open to all Trauma and Orthopaedic trainees and is targeted at levels ST6-ST8s who are at least six months from taking the Clinical component of the Exam. The outstanding venue is The Education Centre, University College Hospital, Euston Road, central London, with excellent transport links.
The novel course design was initiated by UCL Partners and has support from Training Programme Directors for their trainees to attend.

The course is heavily subsidised with a fee of only £50 paid on registration.  Refreshments will be provided.

The Viva teaching covers an overview of the material most commonly asked, how to go about finding the answers and how to develop strategies in answering the questions. The Clinical teaching covers idealised routines for short and intermediate cases, with time for questions and answers.
